So sometime last weekend, I recorded an episode for the Style 101 show on @spicetvafrica .. Iโ€™ll probably put up when itโ€™s airing in my next post, so tune in guys! It was fun actually ๐Ÿ˜…

But now itโ€™s time to go to what we re here for ๐Ÿ˜‰ .. To talk about fashion of course .. From classic Prince of Wales to oversized windowpane and plaid .. checks are a recurring theme in menโ€™s tailoring season after season. And, considering the versatility of this timeless pattern โ€“ eye-catching, rather than attention-grabbing โ€“ itโ€™s easy to see why ๐Ÿค”

Plaid lends itself well to all manner of designs, so thereโ€™s a modulation to suit every man ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿฝ

There are certain perculiarities about todayโ€™s outfit. First is that it comes in bold plaid, secondly, the cut, style, and tailoring details of the jacket, thirdly, the styling!

Thanks to its strong visual impact, plaid is definitely a pattern that makes a statement!

Apart from the pattern of this outfit, itโ€™s no news that making jackets in a robe like fashion is heavily in trend this season, and of course, designers have adopted different styles of making this happen. Iโ€™m particularly not a fan of wearing a belt across a jacket (bear in mind, there is also a belt holding the trousers), it makes absolutely no sense to me, functionally and aesthetically speaking, but this, of course, is both functionally and aesthetically appropriate as it serves as the replacement for the regular suit buttons, giving the jacket a creative spin.

The jacket is also lapel less, which makes it more casual than the ideal jacket, hence that advantage was taken, and we went for shorts styled with mules (which is also in trend guys!!), rather than trousers and oxfords.

If you happen to be the daring fashionista, this is something interesting for you to try! Switch it up, use a crew neck T-Shirt and sneakers, or a shirt and sandals, fashion after all is about having fun and being creative right?

Thank you for reading guys ๐Ÿ˜Š .. Feel free to drop your comments! God bless us all โค๏ธ
